Brief History & Background

Emis International Security Services Limited had its initial take off in New York, U.S.A in 1980. Two years later, we launched our Nigerian operations in 1982. We were incorporated in Nigeria in March 1994 with registration number RC 242181. Our organization was licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to operate private security business in December 2007 following fresh government requirements for those in civil security business. So far, it has been almost 40 years of deep experience in private security practice.

Our Founder

EISSL was founded by Elder Emmanuel Uche Moweta (1956 – 2019), an administrator and seasoned security expert. His first entry into private security practice was during his education at St. John’s University New York in 1980. He went on to have several intense and in-depth trainings in the field of physical security, as well as a Diploma at the prestigious Global School of Investigation also in the United States.

In 1984, now back in Nigeria, Emma started a private security company called Emis International Security Services Limited with its first office at 18 Iweka Road, Onitsha. He worked hard to build his businesses on the foundation of truth, transparency, integrity, and honesty. Everyone who came across him in the marketplace knew that he stood apart from the rest.

He was dedicated to service and committed himself to building an organization that will stand the test of time. He knew what he wanted and put in immense effort to achieve growth & success in his company.

Despite grave difficulties with doing business in Nigeria, and the security situation in the nation, Elder Mo (as he was fondly called) worked proactively and tirelessly to succeed. He made giant strides in the private security industry in Delta State, and remained humble through it all, even as he often referred to himself as a “security man”. Today ‘Emis Security’ is a renowned corporate security company standing firm on its foundations and on its way to higher heights.

Joy Nene Moweta

Acting Managing Director

Joy Moweta formerly trained and practiced as an educationist. She has however always had a passion for safety and security of lives and property. She is a security practitioner with special interest in information security and access control.

Joshua Onyedili

General Manager

Joshua Onyedili is a University of Nigeria, Nsukka trained Social Scientist with specialized training in Criminology. He is also a beneficiary of several trainings organized by both private and governmental organizations and is a seasoned security expert.

Ella George-Uduku MBA

Director, Strategy & Communications

Ella is a strategy consultant focused on helping organizations develop and implement superior strategies. Her education includes a degree in Management Information Systems & an MBA with concentration in Strategy, as well as certifications & trainings in various business areas. Her work at Emis includes organizational strategy development and corporate communications.

Confidence Moweta Esq

Executive Director

The Executive Director, Moweta Confidence Anwuli is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She holds a law degree from Benson Idahosa University, Benin City and the Nigerian Law School. She is also a certified mediator with experience in corporate law practice. She also has a wealth of experience and professionalism in the private security business.
